The City Council of the City of Arcola will hold a public hearing on a proposed city budget for Fiscal Year 2009 in a meeting beginning at 7:00 PM on September 16, 2008 at 13222 Highway 6, Arcola, Texas. Any person may attend and may participate in the hearing. A copy of the proposed budget is on file with the City Secretary at the address shown. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $121,219 (25.2%), and of that amount $31,867 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
